Purged for first time and my throat hurt the next day?
The other day I had eaten two chicken skewers and a handful of candy. After that I decided to make myself throw up three times in a row because I felt guilty about how much candy I’d eaten. The next morning, I woke up to my throat hurting. The left side of my throat was sore and hurting all day. When I had finally eaten at night, the pain went away for a while and when it came back the pain was on my whole neck, not just the left side. Today the pain is gone. But I wanted to know if that’s normal to feel after purging, for basically the first time at least. And no, I don’t want an answer telling me this lifestyle is unhealthy. I know it is, and I’m working on it. I just would really appreciate if someone could tell me if feeling pain like that is normal

The pain likely comes from stomach acid eating away at the lining of your throat.

Bulemia / vomiting on purpose can lead to esophagus damage and it can become permanent. Stop doing this unless you don't care about walking around in pain or eventually having to eat through a feeding tube

Find psychiatric help. Thousands die each year from that. But it would never happen to you...... You're in complete control.
