iPhone home button not vibrating?

So I have an iPhone 8+. One of the ones where the home button isn’t a functioning button that presses down, but a vibration makes it feel like it does. The home button has stopped vibrating, and it’s really frustrating. It just feels like you're pressing down on any other part of the phone. There’s nothing telling you that you’ve actually triggered the “button.” You can’t tell what you’re doing or how long you have to hold it each time, etc. How do I fix it?? I’m hoping it’s not something faulty with my actual phone that I have to have fixed.
