No, I'd get Libre Office or Open Office instead. Both are free.

NO. You can get a better office suite for FREE.  Libre Office is Free. Apache Open Office is Free.

You can download LibreOffice here: https://www.libreoffice.org/

    Do that still make that?

Wordperfect was a DOS word processor created before MS Word.  It is what many of us :old timers" learned to do word processing on.  When Word transferred over to Windows (then version 3.0), with its fancy WYSIWYG interface, mouse pointer, menus, etc. it pretty much killed WordPerfect.

Have not used it since the early 90s.  So I do not know how good (or bad) it is.  Correl, who makes it, does make some very good software.

However, if you want something that is fully compatible with MS Word, has a good track record (around since the early 90s) and is completely free, download a copy of OpenOffice (or LibraOffice which is basically the same program with a different name due to an attempt to copyright the OpenOffice name).

It will do everything that MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Access do, but for free.
