Ignition immobilizer?

Can a locksmith reprogram new immobilizer on a 2005 Nissan Maxima.

    Not likely.  You need to go to the dealer.

    Why do you need a new immobilizer? Usually the immobilizer gets reprogrammed to the new keys.

    I suggest you have a Nissan dealer advise you before messing with a locksmith. Nissan's NATS system is one of the most difficult to deal with.

    Don't you have a phone?  Wouldn't it be faster to phone a locksmith?

    Reprogramming a car requires special equipment. Some locksmiths may have it and some may not.
