Gift from Etsy?
I'm ordering several gifts from Etsy this year but the gifts are for family who are staying in the house. When ordering from Etsy does it tell you what's in the box when you order from them on the box or no? I've never ordered from them so any info is great. Thanks!

It's like Ebay; it depends on the individual seller. There is an email function; you could ask them.

It depends what you're ordering. Sellers on Etsy are mainly people who, basically, are talented craft persons that make their own products as they're ordered but Esty does also have resellers that purchase bulk items and resell them. So the chances are 50/50 depending upon what you're purchasing as to what kind of packaging it comes in. Most of the sellers on Etsy are wise enough to ship their items in plain, unmarked, shipping boxes to attempt preventing theft so most of what you order from there is safe for your situation, but you can't count on it coming in a plain shipping box 100% of the time. If the item you're buying is a manufactured item the Etsy seller is reselling and it's in a shipping-safe box they don't absolutely have to put it in another box to ship it, and they might not.
Etsy's shipping policies:

There should be an option to either contact the seller and ask them to ensure they ship it in plain, unmarked, boxes. Explain that they're gifts, they'll understand. Or there might be an option during check out to select plain, unmarked, boxes when the items are shipped.
I haven't ordered from Etsy in a while so I don't remember if there are those options. Most places like Etsy do have them though. If you can select plain boxes or contact the seller to ask them to...do that.

The vendor I regularly order from does not state on the box what the item is.
