Can you delete a resonator and add a new muffler to a car?
I have a 2013 Civic SI and was just wondering if it’s possible to remove the resonator and install this new muffler I purchased. Thanks in advance.

2013 is not a resonator. It is a Cat. Removing the CAT is illegal.
A 2013 has a Catalytic Converter which is an expensive puppy and gets you "Passed" when they do emission testing. Without the cat you fail and the car can NOT BE DRIVEN.
. Do get a clue. A cat is about $1000 alone. Any garage or muffler shop could have told you that. You got a Cat and a Muff.
See if you can get you money back on the muffler you did not use.

Your car already has a muffler. The resonator is just another piece to alter the sound. Put a new resonator if you do not like the sound or just remove it.

You can fit a non standard system to your existing engine but whether it fits and helps the engine or stifles it is anyone's guess.
