Check the screen brightness isn't turned down, but more likely the screen has failed. you probably need to take it to a tech

Your computer is reading the chip/ssd/sd card that is your memory in the tablet.
If it will not boot up and shows no sign of life when plugged in it may need a reset and that is something you will have to look up on the manufacturers website, for your particular tablet.
