How are some people introverted?

You don’t quite understand it...an introvert gets drained of energy by being around people, they find it a chore. It’s not that they are not social, it just means they like to be alone to recharge. An extrovert like yourself is energised by other people

Well, introverts aren't like you.

My boyfriend is an introvert - this doesn't mean he never socializes. It doesn't mean he is not engaging and can't have an intelligent conversation. It doesn't mean he can't have a conversation with a stranger or avoids people all the time. It simply means he prefers to spend more time alone and regenerating away from people than he does socializing.

He's not socially phobic, and introverts are not full of phobias. They just spend more time enjoying life on their own. It's not a disease.

Some people who never wish to be alone, have issues, don't know themselves very well, and have no clue how to be alone with themselves or entertain themselves at all.

There are a lot of misconceptions about behaviors. I just live and let live

I don't think it's that they don't have social needs. If you notice, many introverts are quite the social butterfly on the internet or through texts. I think it just comes down to preference, How are some people okay with it being very cold or very hot and others not. How come some people like very loud and noisy music and others can't stand it.

That's all it is.

Easily,because everyone is different.

Some like people,others don't.

I like to stay alone because my interest is meditation. It helps me calm and happy.

This may sound dark but for me. Being alone means you can think of all the things you have done something wrong or thinking about ways to end your pain and failure. I am an introvert and have been since at least age 7 (first time i attempted death) because of trauma, body dysmorphia, anxiety, bulimia, anorexia and depression. I am 20 now and found 1 person I can stand most of the day with to make me happy. He is my boyfriend. But before it was just animals I could stand being around, usually just dogs and wildlife (deer, coyotes, snakes, etc)

Also as a kid (10-17) my grounding I had to visit friends and stay the night at their houses and their parents knew I hated it so they were asked to be near me so I would learn not to do the thing that got me grounded again.
