Is it a Godly thing to do, to boast of our Godliness?

In these areas, I play it safEST.

Let any man boast, boast in God. (Bible verse)

If any man glory, glory in that he knows God. (Bible verse)

I don't go any further. Something that helps me is to say, My boast is in the Holy Ghost. It's catchy, it rhymes, it helps! :)

The best way to demonstrate godliness is through humility.

Boasting at all is usually a bad thing, unless you're boasting about God and not yourself.  

Pride is a sin.

Boasting is a form of pride.

There's good pride and bad pride. Good Pride: school, accomplishments, helping others, your children, State & Country. Bad Pride: arrogance, hubris, "holier than thou", conceit, stuck-up, privilege, prestige, and foolish pride.

Big secret.  Never compare.  Judge righteous judgement of yourself.
