While this isn't a comprehensive list, here's some RPG's to consider...

    * West of Loathing -- This is sequel to the legendary web-based MMORPG Kingdom of Loathing (which is still running at time of post).  With it's traditional humor, artwork & style, it's can a bit of an acquired taste.  It has a western flair & geared as a single player experience.

    * South Park: Stick of Truth / Fracture But Whole -- These RPG's are pretty solid games if you can handle their brand of humor.  These are standalone titles that aren't shoehorned into the show.

    * Dragon Quest Builders series -- This takes the Minecraft formula & blends in RPG elements & storyline.  It may not be as deep as the traditional RPG's, but it's still fun to play.

    * River City Ransom (NES Online) -- This is a small stretch, but I'm going to count it as you likely have access if you pick up a Switch Online subscription.  This cult classic is a beat-em-up with RPG elements, but the NES-hard difficulty might be a turn off (as you're going to be grinding a bit).

    * YIIK -- This is a bit of surreal RPG that's has elements similar to Earthbound (going with a modern setting) before going off the deep end.

There may be some other titles, but I hope this gives you some ideas.

    Ys: Lacrimosa of Dana

Weird title, awesome game. It's ESPECIALLY recommended if you enjoy exploration and excellent music. The combat is also surprisingly fun, since you can counter almost every enemy attack with good timing. Even the story is above average.
