Beatles invented multi-track recording and it is routine practice nowadays to do it. Beatles introduced elements of classical music to rock, and for a while other bands were adding classical music to their music too. These include the Rolling Stones, Emerson Lake and Palmer, the Moody Blues. The Beatles added sound effects to their recordings, and Pink Floyd followed suit. The Beatles were so influential that they were able to issue a long song (Hey Jude) when most other pop and rock songs were only 2-4 minutes long. Sgt. Pepper was a concept album, not a collection of individual songs, and that started the trend of future concert albums, such as the Moody Blue's Days of Future Passed. The Beatles were so popular that they played in outdoor stadiums. That started a trend that continues to this day. They also had huge influence on fashion. Their mop top haircut was a departure from the fashionable hair styles of their times, the Pompadour that Elvis and others wore. They also started the mustache trend in the 60s. The long hair trend was also started by them. It was controversial for men to have long hair, and some places, such as Taiwan, would not allow tourists who had longhair to even enter their countries. Many schools in some conservative societies also would not allow their male students to grow their hair long or to wear bell bottom pants.

Before The Beatles, rock n' roll bands were heavy dance blues and hard r&b groups.
They invented the modern format of rock bands as we know them today.
Oh, and they wrote most of their own music. That was a pretty new concept in '62 and '63.

One good way to show influence is to look at how many times a particular artist has had one of their songs 'covered' by another.

The Beatles are along at #1 by a huge margin. If you throw out #2, which includes many, many individual artists over a very long time span, the Beatles have had almost many covers done of their work than the next six artists on that list combined.
That's influence in a nushell. You won't be able to get by with just that but you can use it as a starter. You can research the artists who have claimed in interviews that the band was one of their biggest inspirations, if not the biggest. Find as many of those as you can.

Before The Beatles there was no “rock and roll and pop” originating in the UK.
With literally one or two exceptions there were no successful British bands that sang and played their own material.
Their influence on British music is something that it would take a book to explain.

I could write about that for hours, but for your presentation you could give examples like Mr Postman by the Shirelles (I think) or You've really got a hold on me, by Smokey Robinson, both american songs by black singers that the Beatles took and sold back to white americans, waking them up to the fantastic black music around that was ignored by white america.
John Lennon was more of a rocker, and composed harder pop songs. The Beatles vast range of styles was a huge influence on pop music. It would just take too long to write about here. There must be loads of information online for you to use.
I really hope you include sound with your powerpoint. A presentation about music has to include music.
