If several employees in a subsidiary company owned by Disney made a controversial statement about something, will Disney abandon them?

I asked this question on Quora, but I thought I should ask here to get more answers. I posted it on a different section on his website, but didn't get any answers so I thought I should try asking it here:

If an employee or several employees in a subsidiary company owned by Disney made a controversial statement about something, like someone from ESPN or ESPN FC said something controversial, will Disney abandon their employes and say that what they said doesn't represent the company or will they back their employees up and stay by their side?

Depends on what was said and how many people, more importantly advertisers, get offended by what was said.
