How do you deal with disrespectful people?

I’m wondering: what is your personal method of dealing with disrespectful people? I am working on becoming more assertive. So I would like to hear insight from others. How would you personally deal with someone disrespecting you? When someone doesn’t respect your boundaries? Any stories?

    tell them to fck off out of my life, or just be assertive with them, learn to put people in their place, end the silence, but only if you have to, often ignoring is best bet.

    I got rid of them.

    It took a while.

    They are all gone.
