Do you think your society is more tolerant of Atheism or Christianity?

Where are you on the faith spectrum?

Do you feel like there are certain advantages to belonging to a certain sect in terms of how people treat you?

I think the most tolerated people are those who believe in God but are not religious.

I'd say a bit less tolerant of atheism. I mean it's 2020 and it's still a requirement for a President to go to church and pretend they believe in that nonsense. Most people understand that it's an act but they still need to cater to the hillbilly vote and it seems like any candidate who straight-up called himself an atheist would be dead politically.

The notion that there is intolerance of Christians in America is basically a paranoid conspiracy theory that has its historical origins in the neo-Nazi right and currently gets pushed by outlets like Fox News but has no basis whatsoever in reality.

Anyways I'm an atheist but I identify as Jewish because it's how I was raised and it's my culture. I have personally never suffered for my atheism although the endless stream of anti-Semitic idiocy I encounter does get on my nerves.

Considering these backwater Republicans trend Ron Reagan every time he airs a commercial nowadays, I would say they are not very tolerant of atheism at all. But no, I'm not afraid living as an atheist in America, I'm what does he say, "unabashed". I think the only people who struggle in America are Muslims when it comes to tolerance.

It is constitution right/privilege to be free in religion, in my society. Its tolerant of both.

I substitute faith with probability theory.

Yes. I think people are treated better at the hands of some of the religious', because they are taught to be charitable, compassionate, etc, based on the tenets of their dogma.

Anyone who says they are a Christian for what they can get out of it truly hasn't a clue what Christianity is all about.  Our focus should be on others, not ourselves.
