Why is Trump blocking evidence and witnesses?

That's what a guilty person does.He knows that when he's no longer president he can be indicted which means he will probably spend his retirement in jail if he lives that long.This is why he's trying so hard to stay in power. We are still waiting for those tax returns.

He's not.  The Democrats showed up loaded with Schiff and had no evidence, it was all made up.

Senate Republicans KNOW Donald Trump tried to blackmail the president of Ukraine. They KNOW he is pro-Russia and not pro-US. They KNOW he violates the emoluments clause daily. They KNOW he's a vindictive prick. They KNOW he caters to dictators. They KNOW his wall is useless. They KNOW he lies. They know he's WRONG for the United States on so many levels.  

The House had all the opportunity to subpoena documents and witnesses and chose not to.  The Senate's job is to try a case, not act as a grand jury.   LOL

Because he knows that evidence and witness testimony would lead to proving his guilt. Every single impeachment trial in the Senate (remember that this would include federal judges as well as presidents Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton) had testimony from witnesses and required the production of documentation, except this one. That should tell us something.

Because he is as guilty as sin and knows he needs more time to pack. A year from today if he doesn't flee, he will face criminal indictments.

He doesn't want any facts or logic to be used in the trial, they know their own supporters are stupid to believe in anything they say.

The Democrats already presented a case they claimed was solid enough to sign and present articles of impeachment . It's supposed to be time to judge the case
