What are all the migrant communities doing to help fight the bushfires. Or is it only a Anglo- Celtic tradition.?

I was thinking what the question might mean (that migrant communities was confusing me, still). I'm not even near Australia.

Probably solving the problem with the fire spreading...

We've been cutting the bushes and trees to separate the rest with ring. It would depend from the winds how deep in healthy area we would grab to lose, and how wide/fat the ring would be.

Sometimes wrong calculation, winds transferred on the other side of the ring, and made us doing 2-nd much larger ring. We would save woods and time if we did it at first as should be, without pity for larger ring/empty area.
