I had an endoscopy last week and i was diagnosed with acid inflamation of the stomach and throat. they took biopsies and I am waiting for the results. Are there chances this is cancerous or what is the probability it turns to cancer?

Chronic exposure of the esophagus can lead to cell changes called: Barretts esophagus. That can progress to a case of cancer, so when it is identified, you would be om treatment to decrease stomach acid and checks/biopsy  every few years to monitor.

I believe your provider was being complete, in looking for this condition.
