My great grandmother was french yet I’m lactose intolerant?

How can this be?

    Anyone of any nationality can be lactose intolerant.

    Actually , being lactose is , essentially more normal than tolerating another species milk , which is not meant for you anyway . As for me I do use mil in tea but I am under no delusions it is natural .
