Why do so many people say that "cancer sucks"? Cancer deserves our respect?

"Cancer deserves our respect?" I want to think that you mean, why do they personify cancer?

Wouldn't it be a cruel twist of fate if you, Johnny, got cancer one day ?  You shouldn't joke like this.

...maybe in a certain way you are right. Cancer is a symptom; without a symptom, you cannot know that something is wrong in the body. The bad thing is, that only the symptoms are treatened today and not the cause. Trillions of dollars for research but doctors still clame not to know the cause or a non-toxic treatment....they lie! and let people and children suffer horribly and die. Bad world.
