What job to get in the ANG with an ASVAB of 86?

I just took the ASVAB yesterday and got a score of 86. I haven’t taken the physical yet because I’m still dropping the last few pounds to pass the height/weight.

Anyways, I was told with that score I qualify for all the jobs (and depending on the physical I can become unqualified). My question is when I get my list of possible jobs would you recommend to take a job that needs a higher ASVAB or should take a job that has an average/lower needed ASVAB score? Are there any benefits to having the harder to get jobs? I know your pay is dependent on rank so no matter what I am doing the pay is the same (E-3 because of my college credits).

Thank you for your advice!

Update:

My breakdown scores were:

M87 A85 G87 M88

Update 2:

E88**

Take whatever job they have open that you want to do.  Who cares if a job requires a high score or is hard to get, if it is something you don't enjoy doing?

You might want to also look at what the associated BMT & tech school dates are.  Some of those jobs might require you to wait a while because they don't have a tech school seat for a while.

Also, don't forget that you are limited to whatever openings they have in the local ANG unit.  You might not have a whole lot to choose from.

Your composite score on a sample test is meaningless. If you took the ACTUAL ASVAB yesterday, it hasn't even been scored yet.

The asvab score( AFQT score ) has nothing to do with what jobs you qualify for

the asvab score is only used to determine if you can enlist or not
