Why isn't there a postseason band on the Astros or Red Sox?
In college football if a college team violates the rules they are ineidgable for a postseason bowl games. WHy isn;t this the case in MLB. The team is only fined and penalized by losing draft picks. Yes A.J. Hinch and Joey Cora got fired but tht doesn;t penalize the players. I say make them inelidgable for the post season. Same with Red Sox If they are found guilty of wrongdoing.

Individual players can, and have been, banned from postseason play but making a team ineligible is another matter because you (potentially) would be punishing players who did nothing wrong.
And say a team is banned from postseason play and players refuse to sign there because of it: Then the punishment exceeds what was intended.
What MLB could have done is ban the players who were on the rosters while the cheating occurred but the MLBPA, whose job it is to protect those who play the game, would never allow that.
So the trained animals get off with no punishment while their handlers pay the price.
And that's exactly how it should be.

The Astros had to pay a fine and their manager and general manager were suspended. They were punished. A post season ban is not necessary.

Baseball teams don't need a band in the playoffs. They can just play one or two songs from the loud speakers. Seems like a waste of money.
