The Bible doesn't say there was a global flood, since the writers didn't know the Earth was a globe. To understand something written thousands of years ago, we have to ask what various terms meant to a writer in that time and place, not what it means to us today. What was "the whole world" known to exist, to someone living in the Mediterranean area 5,000 years ago? Obviously it didn't include Australia or North and South America, or Asia, or even northern Europe and southern Africa, since he had no way of knowing that such places existed. His "whole world" was the Mediterranean/Red Sea area, which was the location of the great flood. The inland Black Sea is a remnant of that great flood.

Most likely they built them shortly after the Great Flood, but it's possible they were built before then.

    Rocks were lighter in water.

The two possibilities I see are:

    1) They worked on the top parts that poked above the water, then for some reason *never* wrote about the situation ever

    2) The Noah flood is a silly myth that obviously never happened

    I lean towards 2.

In the great flood of Noah, every human being perished bar 8 - Noah, His wife, his three sons and their wives - other than those 8 everyone perished.. Even the mountains were covered with water so that one small bird could not put her feet down on a branch until the water began to recede.

Historical analysis and fossil evidence tell us Noah's Flood occurred in c. 2304 BC. Further archaeological research supports the conclusion that the Egyptians built the Giza Pyramids in a span of 85 years between 2589 and 2504 BC.

HOWEVER, this is very controversial and there are scientists who believe that the pyramids are much much older. Perhaps dating back before the last Ice Age.

Long time after Noah's global flood the Egyptians build the pyramids.

  • Ignorance as Usual Stevan

The flood happened @ 3100 bc

    Egypt formed @ 3100BC-3000bc

and the First Pyramids were built @ 2600 bc

Didn't take long after the flood for man to get busy

  • To get clear of the rising floodwaters. Originally, they were building straight-sided blocks, but they found they could get height more quickly if they made them come to a point.

    They were persistent little buggers.
