Can anyone help interpret this dream?

Question

Last night I dreamed of what I thought was a yellow salamander but it seems more so like a gecko. It had Legos blocked up all around its bottom area as if someone did it to him or he was being supported by it. I felt the need to take off those Legos and as I did loved on the gecko and then next thing you know all of his legs are torn and he is dying. I lay there with him and cuddle him as he passes and right before he passes his face turns into a gray fluffy cats face.

I have a really good dream book. It says that you will be caught up in a petty misdemeanour. You will try and distance yourself from it (ie it dying). The fluffy cat is not a good omen. Dreaming of cats - even cute fluffy ones is a warning of 'nasty backstabbing against you (that's why people say a woman is being catty when she's being nasty) Watch your step, and be careful what your 'friends' rope/con you into doing.
