How to highlight a mullet? Dont laugh?

So my friend insists on having a mullet but wants highlights. Its too short for foils in the front and sides. Should i use a cap for all the hair? Or hand paint the top?

    Actually you should help him or her cut it off. Mullets are disgusting remnants from the 1980's. Why bother highlighting that mess?!

    I’d use a cap it’s a little more cool proof than hand painting

    I think it's you that wants to highlight your mullet that you're trying to grow and using "My friend" as an excuse
