Are there books that are not involving sexual abuse and women are the lead characters?

I like books where female are lead women.

The last few books I have read there have been nothing but physical and/or sexual abuse and it has been men first person characters.

;The Chinese ancient dynasties were among the greatest of all time in art, philosophy and invention including the first great cuisine which included the creation of pastas.and they exported many things to the West along what was known as the silk road. including silk, spices and art as well as gun powder. which they invented. and Marco Polo from Venice brought back new forms of pasta that were Chinese but pasta itself was invented in both countries but made from different times of grains.

There are a lot of mysteries from many different authors. Try books by Sara Blædel, J. A. Jance, Sue Grafton or Marcia Muller for example.

Try Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer. Dated, but both are brilliant writers of comedies of manners.

There are a lot. In fact, I can't remember the last time I read a book with physical or sexual abuse. What genre are you interested in? That will help narrow it down.
