What will happen to the future of universities?

Most of the universities and schools are closed amid Coronavirus fears. It is still unknown whether the government will open it by April or not, it all depends on the expansion of the virus. If the spread of the virus exceeds, what do you think might happen to the rest of year? Will this year be cancelled? Will the government release a statement declaring that all students will pass their respective programs? What is the best solution for this situation?

What country are you in? In the US, the government didn't require the universities to close- they chose to. They are moving almost all classes online for the rest of the semester. Students will be able to complete their courses. A few classes that require the use of university equipment, like lab and art courses, will still meet.

we'll learn to live with Corona Virus and probably mistreat our most vulnerable populations (especially The Elderly) because of it. beyond this, more students will take Online Schools with AI assisted tutoring. they will do better than their brick and mortar peers and then teachers will get laid off.

Most universities have already moved their courses entirely online.  Some programs like auto mechanics won't be able to do this long-term.  But vocational programs like welding usually aren't taught at universities anyway.
