    multiply by 42, which is 3•2•7, to clear the fractions

    42x + 28x + 21x + 6x = 97•42

    97x = 97•42

    x = 42

     x + (2x/3) + (x/2) + (x/7) = 97, ...   multiply each term by 42

    x[42 +28 + 21 + 6] = 97x = 97*42

    x = 42

    (42x + 28x + 21x + 6x)/42= 97

    97x= 97*42; x= 42
