If you didn't have a mechanic check them out I would say to have them check and scan. Sometimes even autoparts stores can use a scan tool and tell you whats wrong

Sounds like there is something wrong with the ignition switch. Like it is stuck at the start position just before it cranks. Might be a relay on that car versus a mechanical switch that moves when you turn the key on an older model.

When car is running? Check for codes. When car is not running, check for a bad ignition switch.

Look in your owner's manual to see what each one means, then examine each for malfunction. Check the brake fluid level, for instance.
