If you get all A in high school with regular classes but never take any honors or AP courses, is that better than Honors An AP AverageGrade?

    Colleges and universities want to see that you've taken the most challenging courses available. All As in ordinary courses will be nice, but since you didn't take challenging courses, they will have no way of knowing how you would have performed in them -- whether you would have earned As or just average grades -- so all they'll be wondering is why you DIDN'T take the most demanding classes.

    Better schools don't want applicants who avoided them.

    It is better to take honor and AP classes and do well in them.

    Colleges will read your transcript and see what classes you have take and at what level.
