How does an art commission work?
Outside here who loves art and wants to do something like that. If you could explain to me how it works--I will be so grateful!
Is it also the same for digital art as well?
I just wanted to say thank you all so much.

Someone offers you money to do an artwork, whatever it may be. Most artists have representation eg a gallery or agent that handles all the negotiations for a fee or percentage.

There are several commission.
If you’re the artist and someone commission you to do a painting, the commission is your salary. It’s what you would get when you deliver the final product.
If you’re the agent, it’s a cut of the pay. An artists has you as an agent. Your job is to help him find a n art gallery that will display his art. The gallery gives him 10000. You get a portion of that money. You might also get a cut for every piece sold if you include it in the contract.
