i get it...its scary for ur daughter to ahve a bf..but shaming her or getting on her or yelling at her when she has a bf how does that help her at all it makes yo an ******* and your hurting your daughter tha your protectiv of its stupid and defeats your whole purpose as her dad

Its simple
Fathers want to be the most important male in their daughters life (no matter what the age), and any guy that comes along that his daughter is interested in, becomes a threat.
When someone is jealous, they act terriotrial, and they will do whatever measures it takes to keep that person around. Fathers won't admit the real reason, because it comes off as creepy, so instead they use the "I'm protecting you" mantra to make it look more innocent.
