Safe to start having intercourse again. ?
I had a miscarriage & d and c surgery on 4-4-20 , I was told to wait two weeks for sex and to take baths (when I was discharged after having the surgery) . It’s been a week and two days I had an appointment four days after the surgery and was told my cervix was closed & everything seemed fine . I haven’t been bleeding or anything anymore just a few cramps here and there ,
should it be alright to have intercourse now ? Has anyone ever experienced this before and had sex before the 2 week marker. ?I read online the reason they say two weeks is so the cervix has time to close , but if it’s already closed then there should be no problems right ?

you dont really know if there could still be problems--its somewhat of a gamble. You could be ultra safe and wait longer or have sex and see if its ok, or not. No one here can accurately tell you what would be safe or not for you.

You were told 2 weeks. Then wait 2 weeks. 2 weeks does not mean 10 days or 9 days or 12 days...it means 2 weeks. Im not trying to be rude, but the doctors orders are pretty straightforward

You need to discuss this with your doctor. He or she is the ONLY person who can tell you for sure when its safe to resume sexual activity. Until you get that okay from your doctor, do not attempt intercourse. Even if you 'think' your cervix has closed, it doesn't mean you are fully healed from the D&C procedure. You can get serious infections and tears inside if you have sex before your body is ready. It does take about 2-3 weeks after the procedure usually and if there were any complications the time could be longer.

Why bother to ask questions that you know are wrong . Doctor said TWO weeks. You can wait for the rest of the week to be safe.
