A 4.00 kg block is pulled up a frictionless inclined plane by a 62.0 N force that is parallel to the plane, starting from rest.The normal force on the block from the plane has magnitude 16.9 N.What is the block’s speed when its displacement up the ramp is 2.70 m?

    Find the angle of the plane from the data provided:

    16.9N = 4kg*9.8m/s²*cosΘ so Θ = arcos(16.9/39.2) = 64.46°

    We have to find the net force on the block

    Fnet = 62N - 4*9.8*sinΘ = 62 - 39.2*sin64.46 = 26.63Nmg = 4*9.8 = 39.2Na = 26.63N/4kg = 6.658m/s²Vf² - Vi² = 2*a*dVf² - 0² = 2*6.658*2.7 = 6²m/s

    So Vf = 6m/s
