Puppy not eating hard food?
I have a 7 week old pit bull puppy and he only lick the hard food give him, i also soaked the food in water for 30 minutes and he just licks it. I tried hand feeding him he then licks it then chew it up and spits it out. He will eat if I blend the food up but I’m trying to get him to eat the food hard. Do you all have any tips on getting him use to dry kibble. Also I’m feeding him gentle giants dog food.

Just put the food down & leave it down. Don't do anything to it. Pup needs to be on a puppy food & not adult food. Get puppy chow for a growing puppy. You can add calcium to help build stronger bones. Some large breed dogs can get rickets & the calcium helps with that, too.
A dog will not starve itself, just be sure the pup knows where the food it & just leave it down until he eats. PUPPY CHOW

In many states, it is NOT legal for a puppy of less than 8 weeks to be sold or transferred to a new home. Do you know what the laws are in your location?
It depends on WHAT the puppy eating (exactly) in his former home. Call up or text and ASK your BYB, how the puppy was weaned and exactly what BRAND of food it was eating & whether it was still being softened and was any canned food involved?
You CANNOT just change the food (and/or format) being fed or puppy will either refuse to eat, or will have tummy upset. Has puppy been to the vet for a wellness exam? If not, WHY NOT?
Puppies also do not eat - if SICK! Parvovirus can kill up to 80% of infected puppies that have no vaccines, or incomplete vaccinations. Puppy can be infected by visitors before it left the breeder's home, or you can bring it in, on YOUR HANDS/FEET.
Gentle Giants is not a top quality food. It is an average quality, at best. SADLY (for dogs aka carnivores) it is up to 58% carbohydrates. (Dogs are MEAT eaters!) It is slightly BELOW average in protein, and 25% of the protein comes from PEAS.... not the meat. It is BELOW AVERAGE on fats; at only 10% which is not enough for a growing puppy and fats are also an IMPORTANT SOURCE OF FLAVOR. Lastly, your puppy will never grow into anything remotely the SIZE of a GIANT breed, and I do not think the formula in this food, is unsuitable for growth of your sized breed. For all of these reasons, I do not find it a suitable or high quality PUPPY food for your pup. I also highly doubt..... it tastes like anything but cardboard.

far too young to be fed hard food. should be a year before you feed it hard stuff. why do you think puppy food is softer than dog food
