Mirror reflection stay the same with back facing mirror?

Why if a mirror flips your arm's left to right when you're facing it doesn't it flip left to right with your back is facing it?

    it doesn't flip anything. 

    your left arm is still to YOUR left. and your right arm is to your right. 

    The image has what was your left arm on it's (relative to itself) right, but that means ziltch.
