Why are there bees on my balcony?

We don’t usually get bees, but this morning, when I went to my jacket I left up there, I saw a bee on it. There was also a bee on the wall, in a sink, on the floor. My sister said she counted 13 bees. The rain had just stopped, and this has never happened before. Is this a major problem? Should I be worried? I know this sounds stupid, but I’m so paranoid that there will be a bee apocalypse.

There is no why, bees are everywhere. Bee on clothing, just gently scoot them off.

I pick th3m up and release them outside. If active, they get on my hand for a little honey, then outside where they belong.

Bees reproduce by having the old queen leave the old hive to look for new places to build new ones around this time of year. The old queen takes a number of workers with her and flies off to look for a new hive. Scout bees will go looking for suitable new places before the old queen will go there. The old hive will raise a new queen. That is how bees increase in numbers. It is called swarming. You are probably seeing some scout bees. When they arrive at a new loaction, there is no hive yet so they may just gather as a ball of bees, with the queen protected by workers. Then they start building a new hive once they decide they have found a suitable new location.

There's a beehive nesting inside the building
