how do i restore the original storage of a fake sd card?

i have a SD card that claims to be 64gb, when in reality, it's a programmed 8 gb card, it seems the person who made it used a program to make the sd card think the storage is 64 gb. is it possible to restore the stock storage indicator of 8gb?

I do not know of a way to 'program an 8Gb SD card to think it is a 64Gb card'. It is easy enough to change the 'volume name' of an SD card so it calls itself '64Gb' , but you can call it almost anything ....'Jason', 'Time Bomb', 'Meaning of Life'. It doesn't mean it is those things. You can change the name when formatting the SD card.

It IS possible to take a 64 Gb SD card and divide it into more than one volume, each with its own drive letter. One of the volumes could be 8Gb but that would only be a part of the overall SD card. Could that be what has happened? You could check by using the 'disk management' utility on a Windows PC.
