Oil was the icing on the proverbial cake. Iraq was about war profiteering, plain and simple.

Yes to protect American interests in Kuwait that Saddam Hussein threatened to destroy. Saddam killed many innocent people for his pleasure and to keep power. He was a ruthless dictator that oppressed his people. Saddam is not missed. Bin Laden is not missed. America now produces their own oil. We do not want to protect muslims from muslims, but we do stand with Israel and we will protect the Jewish people against the Muslim people.

Cheney and Wolfowitz wanted the oil. Bush hoped to fulfill prophecy and bring Jesus back to judge the wicked, or at least to be Raptured away from his failures and temptations.
