What age would you recommend introducing children to video games?

I'm thinking of getting my daughter one of those classic type of consoles that don't connect to the internet when she's about 3.

    My son was playing games at 3 and knew how to move the system from one TV to another on his own.

    At that age, you want to limit the use of games, but 3 isn't too young to start.

    Thats around the age my sons started taking an interest.
