Diamond rings or an automatic watch?
I want to buy an automatic watch.. although i have only 1/2 of the money now, and i live in a shiithole where we can't find Rolex or such brands. I am really looking forward to buying myself a nice watch or some jewellery. What would you prefer? spend earnings on jewellery or a watch? what keeps its value?

I would personally buy a watch cuz, 1 im a guy, so we dont really buy diamond rings. Second, a watch looks cooler.

A fine watch appreciates in value (in about 15 years, my husbands Rolex has increased in value over 40%). Diamond jewelry often isn't worth what you paid for it - if you ever want to sell it - you usually take a loss.

Some 'vintage' watches are collectors' items that increase in value. But you don't wear them, you keep them in a safety deposit box. Likewise vintage jewelry. But in either case you really have to know a lot about what you're buying. There are much better places to invest your money.
If you're going to spend your money on beautiful, shiny, useless things, get what you like! If you really like it, you'll never sell it anyway. Your heirs will, for 1/10 of what it's worth.
