Why are psychiatrists so expensive? ?
My psychiatrist is $200 per session. I was just wondering why it is so expensive. Well worth it for a good one though.

Probably because they have hired staff, have to buy office equipment and other equipment, rent, and other overhead costs.

You get the doc for the entire session where a regular family doc would see several patients in the same amount of time.

Why should they have to pay for years of education and not be able to pay off the debt that they incurred to be able to help you?

you should never have to pay to see a psychiatrist, paying for one is a con, glad i'm not from your country.
