Internet modem wifi?

Im visiting my mom for a couple days and i wanted to bring my modem over to her place because she has maybe the lowest tier internet possible and i prefer blazing fast lol. But she has at&t. Is it possible for me to bring over my comcast modem?

    NO.

    1. The internet speed that she has is dictated by the link between her and the telephone exchange or cable company. Changing the router will make no difference.

    2. The router will almost certainly contain the modem, which is what logs you into the Internet itself. Your modem will not work on her ISP connection.

    No. That will not work at all. Comcast is a cable Internet provider while AT&T is a DSL provider. The two are not intercompatible at all. Even if you were to take your Comcast modem and plug it into a coaxial port at your mom's house it won't work because Comcast would need to have active service at her house.

    So in short: Taking your modem over to her house won't work at all.

    Well it depends on how fast the internet speed is that shes paying. She might have the lowest speed one
