Can I make this meatloaf without the tomato sauce?
https://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Buff... I make this all the time. 1/2 cup of tomato sauce goes in the meat mixture. From a flavor standpoint, I don't know if I'd miss tomato, but from a texture standpoint, do you think it will be too dense? I have zero other tomato products in the house except about 1/4 of a squeeze tube of tomato paste (maybe a tablespoon or two).

I only put ketchup on the Top of the meatloaf, along with raw bacon

You don't have any condiments that are tomato based? Barbeque sauce, steak sauce, cocktail sauce? Nothing? I've used a bit of soda in hamburgers, you could try that in your meatloaf. You don't have to have the tomato sauce on the top of your meatloaf. Some people prefer a brown gravy with theirs.

You could add the tomato paste and maybe a little ketchup?, although the 'paste' is a more concentrated flavour, it would be less 'liquid'.
When I make meatloaf, I add an egg, a squirt of ketchup and maybe a little
worcestershire sauce if I need more moisture added, although I don't use the 'traditional' milk soaked bread, I use breadcrumbs & a little dried sage+onion stuffing mix [its got dried onion, herbs + rusk [which is like bread flakes] to bulk out the meat and add to the taste / texture.

Take about a tablespoon of the paste and add water to make it up to the 1/2 cup, blend and use
