Who invented leap years?
I've asked this before and I'll ask it again. They are literally the scum of time. Not people born in leap years, even though they often turn out to be drug dealers, but the concept of leap years itself. It's so dumb. I know the science behind them and stuff but why? Who in their right mind would make them? I saw some people saying Julius Caesar Salad and if that's the case, no wonder his mates stabbed him to death.

Any more conventional academic would have realised the more sensible approach would be to make every day longer by 86.4 seconds and allow those few people born on 29th Feb to grow up properly. Had he been really smart he would have made every month the same length while he was about it. It would have made early navigation of the high seas much simpler and saved John Harrison many years in his development of the first atomic clock.

I would remind some of the more academically minded amongst us who may wish to raise contradictory arguments and perceived flaws that time is a man made measure as opposed to change which is natural! For the more astute I'll see you at the party on 29th, sorry you missed it emily
