Remember when vaccines were used for important things like immunisation against polio?
Now big pharma want us all vaccinated against flu. Last year s strain perhaps? I have an immune system. It knows what to do. I don t feel inclined to add to big pharmas profit margins.

Yes, I have family that died from Polio. A 12 year old child and he had to die all alone crying "why does Mommy not love me anymore" because she could not be there. He could not see she was at the window sobbing. He only knew no one was in the room. He was all alone and those were his dying words. Also a distant relative had two nephews die of Polio but that was her step-sisters children so I don't know if that counts as family. Step-sister later went insane and apparently killed her surviving child and herself.

So rant here? Its your choice. But the flu can kill and can make you pretty darn sick. Its your choice entirely but I love it when people who dont vax come into the UC looking for an immediate cure.

Not every one has an immune system like you do. Some people have a harder time fighting off things like the flu, so they get the flu shot to help keep them healthy. It's your choice to get the flu shot or not.

If you don't want it, then don't get it. Seems simple enough.

My friend died of flu two years ago, and he was otherwise young and healthy, so I feel that vaccines against flu are still pretty important.

I remember when people were educated in the industrial world and ignorance was something associated with the third world.
Funny how affluence can change things and turn things around.
