Having problems with YA on Microsoft Edge any ideas?

For a few weeks now if I come on YA on Edge and try to ask or answer a question I just get an 'Oops something went wrong!' message.

At first I thought I had been suspended but if I try with Google Chrome I have no problems.

I have asked Yahoo but they are yet to offer an answer. Does anyone know why Edge is causing a problem

Make sure your Edge version is up to Date other then that the Site may not work well with Edge it seems if it works Fine on Google Chrome I would stick to using Google Chrome

  • It seems that the Yahoo website works better on Chrome than Edge.    I have tried Edge but also always found Chrome better.  But I had no real problems with Edge.   I always use a computer unless I am out of my house and I also found my phone works better on desktop mode with Chrome.  I don't know what you are using or how anyone would know you are on a phone.  But using a computer is best if you can afford one.

YA does not support Microsoft Edge browsers is why. Try putting your device in desktop mode and see if that helps. Yes, YA is supposed to support Microsoft edge, but there always have been issues with it. YA does support Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.

Microsoft Edge is not IE. There have always been compatibility issues on YA with Microsoft products even when Microsoft was powering Yahoo's search engine. I think it is doing that now with new contract With Verizon. The old contract with Yahoo.expired at.the end of 2016.

Yahoo stopped working well with IE years ago, but I don't know why it wouldn't work with edge unless there's some issue between Microsoft and Yahoo/Verizon. If the site works fine on Chrome, then it makes sense to use Chrome. Make sure your Edge browser is updated, in case that could be the issue.  I use Chrome mostly, but Firefox, Opera, and Silk all do okay also.
