Can Steam Kill Viruses Such As COVID-19 Coronavirus?

    Not so much in a regular home setting. The steam cannot get hot enough. You are better off using hot water and your cleaner of choice. Steam has apparently been used in a clinical setting, but in an autoclave where it can reach the higher temperatures needed.

    Yes, steam is in excess of 100deg c, the virus survives up to about 65 i think.. google it. But don’t confuse ‘steam’ for the cooler water vapour that you might see given off of a kettle, if its visible it’s water vapour and not steam.

    Yes that is essentially how an autoclave works in a hospital sterilising unit.
