Can someone help me with RGB strips?

So I got a prebuilt pc for christmas and I have no idea what motherboard is in there along with the fact that it is really hard to take apart. I want to install generic LED strips in my room but I want to be able to control them with my computer. I have Razer synapse but wouldn't mind getting another program if necessary. I also don't really have the money to go buy fancy in case strips that seem to be much easier to connect. Is there a hub or something I can buy and use a USB port to control it or anything?
