Always have been, always will be. Sure, there are a few who show respect, but they aren't the mainstream. The employers who are essential are telling their people they have to keep showing up for work, and cannot use vacation time because of the need. As soon as this is over and raises come around, you can bet the workers will be treated like they can be replaced tomorrow.
