Questions for Anti-Mask-Wearings?

You say compulsory mask-wearing is against our liberty.

But there are 2 questions here:

1. Isn't it REQUIRED to force people to help flatten the curve?

2. Don't you think without wearing a mask you may catch the disease and put OTHERS in danger?

    1. The government saying something is required doesn't mean they have the right to impose that requirement.

    2. NO, I actually believe what the CDC said in January about wearing masks. In fact, even while recommending masks, they STILL say there is no evidence they actually provide protection.

I'm not "anti-mask wearings" but know some who are. There's a difference between trying to "flatten the curve" to spare hospitals from becoming overcrowded and the idea that we have to make sure no one else anywhere ever becomes infected. A lot of the pushback on local edicts has more to do with the moving of the goalposts without proper explanation than about being anti authority or just refusing to wear a mask for the greater good.

Some people think that the compulsory wearing of seat belts ,or even banning the drinking of alcohol , before and during driving , and so on -- is an attack on their liberty .

It's the mind set of the -- "My rights come before any right that you have to stop me --  even if my actions endangers others " brigade .

    It's now the Republican anthem.
